Flash Flood Watch until 07:00AM Saturday

The National Weather Service in Fort Worth has expanded the

* Flash Flood Watch to include a portion of north central Texas, including the following areas, Bell, Kaufman, McLennan, Navarro, and Rockwall.

* Through Saturday morning

* Slow moving showers and thunderstorms are expected to develop along a cold front today through tonight. Rainfall amounts of 2 to 3 inches, with locally higher amounts, will be possible in areas that have already received heavy rainfall over the last several days.

* Soils are becoming saturated in some areas and heavy rainfall today could result in rapid runoff and an increasing threat for flash flooding.

* AFFECTED AREAS: NAVARRO ... BELL ... KAUFMAN ... ROCKWALL ... MCLENNAN

Instructions:

A Flash Flood Watch means that conditions are favorable for heavy rain which may lead to flash flooding. You should monitor the latest forecasts from the National Weather Service and be prepared to take action should Flash Flood Warnings be issued for your area.
