Possible threat of violence reported at Islands Academy, 2900 Mink Point Boulevard, Burton. Under investigation. 
This afternoon, just prior to school being let out at Islands Academy in Burton, a student observed a possible threat of violence on a bathroom wall. The student reported the possible threat to school officials, who in turn notified the Sheriff's Office. The possible threat is under investigation. There will be an increased presence of law enforcement in and around the Islands Academy tomorrow. We appreciate your patience and will keep you advised of any developments.
