On Tuesday, September 4, 2018, between 1:00 PM and 3:00 PM, the Torrance Police Department conducted an HVE operation on Del Amo Boulevard between Hawthorne Boulevard and Van Ness Avenue.  The Department has received several reports of traffic concerns in this area.  In response, several motor officers devoted their time by balancing traffic enforcement and educating the community.  

The Torrance Police Department is grateful to partner with our community in this endeavor to help keep our streets safe.  Pictured above is the 2300 block of Del Amo Boulevard.

21 drivers were GIVEN WARNINGS 

9 drivers were cited  for SPEEDING  (six in excess of 60 mph) 

7 truck drivers were cited for TRUCK ROUTE / WEIGHT VIOLATIONS 

3 drivers were cited for a USING A CELLPHONE WHILE DRIVING 

10 drivers were cited for FAILURE TO OBEY POSTED SIGNS
