A traffic collision resulting in injuries to one of the involved persons is under investigation

INCIDENT: Traffic Collision with Injuries
LOCATION: Highway 18 / Corwin Road
SUMMARY:
On September 4, 2018, at about 2:13 PM, Apple Valley Deputies responded with Apple Valley Fire Protection District to a report of a traffic collision at the corner of Highway 18 and Corwin Road. Deputies arrived to find four vehicles involved with one vehicle resting on its roof.
One involved party was transported to a local trauma center with unspecified injuries. There were no other people injured in the collision. The Westbound lanes of Highway 18 were closed for about an hour while the disabled vehicles were cleared. The nature of the extent of the involved party's injuries was not known at the time of this report. The collision is still under investigation.
