The Marietta Daily Journal just sent out an Afternoon update notifying everyone that the new Express lanes on I-75 will be opening this Saturday! We want to ensure everyone in the area is aware the change is happening.

Drivers can now mark their calendar for the opening of the Northwest Corridor Express Lanes.
Gov. Nathan Deal announced that toll lanes would open to southbound traffic mid-morning on Saturday.
Those hoping for a faster ride out of the gate, however, won’t have to pay to do so, as the first 14 days of operation will be free for motorists with registered Peach Passes to encourage commuters to utilize the express lanes.
A ribbon-cutting ceremony will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday, Sept. 12 to celebrate the completion and opening of the project.
