* At 541 PM CDT, severe thunderstorms were located along a line extending from Lawson to Buckner to near Cleveland, moving east at 40 mph. HAZARD...70 mph wind gusts and half dollar size hail. SOURCE...Trained weather spotters. IMPACT...Hail damage to vehicles is expected. Expect considerable tree damage. Wind damage is also likely to mobile homes, roofs, and outbuildings.
* Locations impacted include... Independence, Blue Springs, Grain Valley, Excelsior Springs, Oak Grove, Richmond, Odessa, Greenwood, Higginsville, Lexington, Buckner, Lawson, Lake Lotawana, Lone Jack, Braymer, Orrick, Wellington, Norborne, Hardin and Henrietta. This includes Interstate 70 in Missouri between mile markers 21 and 47.
