UPDATE: SMPD walk-in services are re-opened to the public. Our 911 emergency services were not interrupted. Thank you for your patience.

**UPDATE**
Aug. 27, 2018 4:07 pm- Today, at about 1:15 p.m., San Mateo Fire Department responded to our police department on a report of fire alarm. SMFD located and quickly extinguished a small fire in a storage room within the police department. The police facility was temporarily evacuated while 9-11 Emergency Services remained uninterrupted. SMPD walk-in services are now re-opened and available to the public. 

A special thank you to our City of San Mateo organization, especially with the Fire Department and Public Works for their quick response and assistance! Also, thank you to the neighboring agencies for assistance.

SMFD is currently investigating a fire alarm at SMPD. 911 Emergency services are still operational. Walk-in services at PD are suspended until further notice.
