Beginning Monday, August 27th, the Dearborn Police Department will be working in conjunction with the Dearborn Public Schools to ensure all our students have a safe transition into the new school year. The Dearborn Police Department will be conducting a traffic initiative, near all schools, which is focused on educating the public and enforcement of traffic and parking laws. The goal of this initiative is to gain compliance through education and enforcement from those who drive in and around school zones.
Dearborn Police Chief Ronald Haddad stated, "The safety of our students is of the utmost importance and we wil ltake every measure possible to ensure all students arrive and depart from school safely. We are urging the public to be extra cautious when driving near the schools and be conscientious of both traffic and parking laws."
