NARRATIVE:
Los Angeles County Sheriff's Homicide detectives are responding to investigate the circumstances involving the shooting death of a man that occurred on Saturday August 25, 2018 on the 36500 block of Rozalee drive in Palmdale.
The victim was transported to a local hospital and later pronounced dead.
There is no additional information available at this time.

Homicide detectives have made two arrests in the shooting death of a male Hispanic adult that occurred on the 36500 block of Rozalee Drive in the city of Palmdale on Saturday, August 25, 2018 at approximately 11:14 p.m.
Jessica Cortez, a twenty-four year old female Hispanic and Alec Nelson, a twenty-eight year old male White, both from Palmdale, have been booked for murder at the Palmdale Sheriff’s Station where they are each being held on two million dollar bail.
Detectives have learned the shooting occurred outside of the residence. All parties involved were acquaintances.
The weapon, a semi-automatic handgun was recovered.
The investigation is on-going and there is no further information at this time.

Investigators have learned that two male Hispanic adults were involved in physical altercation, when an associate of both males feared for one of the individual’s safety. In order to defend him she fired one round at the victim, striking him in the lower torso. The victim was transported to a local hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
The parties involved were detained shortly after the incident. There are no outstanding suspects. All three involved parties were acquaintances with each other. The investigation is ongoing and there is no further information at this time.
