| On August 21, 2018, the Ventura County Sheriff’s West County Street Narcotic Team concluded a month long investigation into the narcotic trafficking activities of Daniel Dunklin with the execution of search warrants on his person, vehicle, and residence. On August 21, 2018, Detectives detained and arrested Dunklin during a traffic stop in the city of Ventura. Dunklin was found to have approximately 4 ounces of methamphetamine and a small amount of heroin in his possession. Deidre Evans, who was a passenger in the vehicle, was arrested for local narcotics warrants. Detectives then executed a signed search warrant at Dunklin’s residence in Ventura. An additional 3 ounces of methamphetamine along with paraphernalia indicative of narcotics sales was seized at the residence. Dunklin was booked into the Ventura County Sheriff’s Pre-Trial Detention Facility on numerous narcotic violations. He is currently in custody with a bail amount of $160,000.00. His next court appearance is scheduled for 09/04/2018 at 1:30 p.m. in Courtroom 12. The West County Street Narcotics Team is comprised of narcotic detectives from the Ventura County Sheriff’s Office, the Oxnard Police Department and the Port Hueneme Police Department. |
