Advisory

Police respond to an increase in drug overdoses. Please be aware and talk with your kids about the dangers of drugs

WARNING-PLEASE BE AWARE: This is a public service announcement. Over the past few days, the National City Police Department has responded to several incidents of what we believe are drug overdoses involving both adults and juveniles. This increase may indicate the potential for a powerful or a bad batch of narcotics circulating in the area.
We encourage parents to take a more proactive role with your juveniles by discussing the negative effects of these dangerous drugs. Make sure your juveniles do not have any suspicious paraphernalia or packages in your home.
The police department is working closely with the Sweetwater High School District to inform our students, staff, and parents to raise the level of awareness to all.
Please contact your local police department or emergency services if you or someone you know suspects a drug overdose has occurred. If you have any information, please contact the National City Police Department (619) 336-4411.
