Clayton, Indiana woman arrested on drug charges.
On August 22, 2018, at 9:30 a.m. Sgt. Bruce L. Vanoven conducted a traffic stop at the intersection of Emerson and Main Street on a Red 2007 Chrysler 300. Upon approaching the vehicle Sgt. Vanoven identified the driver as 26 year old Rachel Clark of Clayton, Indiana. During a roadside investigation Sgt. Vanoven ran Ms. Clark through the Indiana Bureau of Motor Vehicles and discovered that her driver’s license was listed as Suspended/Prior. During the roadside investigation illegal drugs and paraphernalia were found in Ms. Clark’s possession. At the conclusion of his investigation Sgt. Vanoven placed Ms. Clark into custody and transported her to the Gibson County Jail. Upon arriving at the Gibson County Jail Ms. Clark was charged with Possession of Paraphernalia, Possession of a Schedule IV drug, Possession of Methamphetamines, and Driving While Suspended/ Prior. She remains in custody on a $750 bond.
Assisting Sgt. Vanoven in his investigation was Deputy Austin Farrington and Corrections Officers Zach Lienemann and Tyler Martin.
All Criminal defendants are to be presumed innocent until, and unless proven guilty beyond a reasonable doubt in a court of law.
