The Marietta Police Department is dedicated to protecting its citizens in every way possible. While our focus is on finding ways to fight and prevent crime we are also dedicated in finding ways to educate the public.
The Marietta Police Department is offering a 12-hour Rape Aggression Defense (R.A.D.) class. R.A.D. is a simple yet effective self-defense course for women ages 14 - adult. The techniques are designed to be quick and effective in delivering pain to vulnerable locations on the attacker’s body.
The course is designed so that women of all fitness levels and ages will learn options to escape attacks. R.A.D. is a twelve-hour course, delivered over (4) - three hour classes. Participation in all four classes is necessary to complete the course. There is a $10 charge for this course; donations are appreciated. For questions and registration please contact Sgt. This class is for women 14 - adult. Women 14-17 must attend with their mother or other adult female. You will need to purchase a spot for each person attending.
This class will take place from 6:00 PM to 9:00 PM on Monday and Wednesday October 15th, 17th, 22rd and 24th.
