The Millstadt Police Department would like to invite kids to ride on our D.A.R.E. wagon, in the parade. Kids should be at least 5 years old, and feel comfortable riding without a parent. We have a very limited amount of space, so if you have interest in participating, let us know as soon as possible. You can send us a private message on Facebook, or send an email to Lt. If your child rides you should have them at the parade staging area, on South Breese Street, 20 minutes prior to the start of the parade which is 5:00 p.m. We will have a large D.A.R.E. banner. Please specify if your child wants to ride Saturday, Sunday, or both. At the end of the parade the children will be dropped off in the area of the ball fields, across the street from the picnic grounds. Parents must pick up their children at that time or, if the child is older, they are free to leave on their own. If the kids have a D.A.R.E. or other police related shirt, we would love for them to wear it!
