UNION CITY POLICE ARREST RIDESHARE DRIVER FOR SEXUAL ASSUALT
In the early morning hours of July 14th , a subject who was employed by Uber as a driver at the time of this incident but not working, picked up a female in San Francisco and transported her to Union City. During the transport, the driver sexually assaulted the victim who was intoxicated.
During the subsequent investigation, Union City Police Detectives were able to identify the driver as Kevin Barillas-Saballos, a 30 year old Hispanic Male of San Francisco. Based on the investigation, an arrest warrant was issued for the Saballos.
On Tuesday August 14th, 2018, Union City Police Detectives arrested Saballos at his place of employment in South San Francisco without incident. Saballos was transported to Santa Rita Jail for booking.
On Thursday August 16th, 2018 Saballos was arraigned in court and charged with False Imprisonment, Kidnapping, Sexual Assault, Sexual Battery and Criminal Threats.
