Driver that collided into an EPD patrol car arrested for DUI today
This morning about 0325 hours, an EPD officer was driving a fully marked EPD patrol vehicle and was driving on 40th Street near Hollis St. At that time a vehicle traveling on Hollis St. failed to stop for the red traffic signal light at 40th St and collided into the officer’s patrol vehicle.
The collision caused a moderated amount of damage to both vehicles and there were no reported injuries. CHP responded to the scene and investigated the collision. The driver of the other vehicle, Mark McCrary, exhibited objective signs of impairment. Mr. McCrary was subsequently arrested and booked on suspicion of driving under the influence by the CHP.
