Pedestrian check of parolee Victor Perez, leads to foot pursuit and eventual arrest on J St. and Broadway Street.

LOCATION: J St./Broadway St., Needles
SUSPECT: Victor Perez, 27 years old, resident of Needles
SUMMARY:
On August 13, 2018, Deputies from the Needles Police Department conducted a pedestrian check at the intersection of J St. and Broadway St., in the City of Needles, and the subject was identified as Victor Perez. Perez was found to be on active parole for PC 187(a)- Murder and have a Parole Violation warrant with No Bail. While being taken into custody, Perez pulled away from deputies and fled on foot to a residence located on the 1400 block of Front St. Perez was located hiding in the attic of the residence and taken into custody without incident. Perez was transported to the Needles Jail where he is being held with no bond pending a court hearing.
