2 arrested for the attempted burglary of a resident on I Street in Barstow

LOCATION: 33900 block of “I” Street, Barstow
SUSPECT(S): Brianna Branning, 20 years old, resident of Barstow
Oscar Lara, 28 years old, resident of Barstow
SUMMARY:
On August 10, 2018 at approximately 4:03 P.M., deputies from the Barstow Sheriff’s Station responded to an address in the 33900 block of “I” Street in Barstow after the victim contacted 9-1-1 and advised that two unknown subjects were on their property acting suspiciously. The subjects had parked their vehicle on the driveway, walked around the outdoor garage area, and then attempted to enter the residence through the secured front door.
After the deputies arrived at the scene, Brianna Branning and Oscar Lara were contacted in the front yard. During a consensual search of their vehicle, deputies located various tools commonly used in the commission of burglaries. Branning and Lara were subsequently arrested for attempted burglary.
