Deputies arrest a Victorville man for battery with serious injury

LOCATION: 9800 Block of Yucca Rd., Adelanto
SUSPECT: Jose Luis Sanchez, 30 years-old, resident of Victorville
VICTIM: 22-year-old male, resident of Adelanto
SUMMARY:
On Tuesday, August 14, 2018 at 9:30 am, deputies from the Victor Valley Sheriff’s Station responded to the report of an assault that occurred at a business in the 9800 block of Yucca Road in Adelanto on Monday, August 13, 2018.
According to the victim, he and a co-worker, Jose Luis Sanchez, were joking at work when Sanchez became angry and punched him in the face. The victim drove himself to a local hospital where they confirmed he suffered a broken jaw.
Deputies contacted Jose Luis Sanchez at his residence in Victorville. After further investigation, Sanchez was arrested for battery with serious injury and booked at High Desert Detention Center. He is currently being held in lieu of $100,000.00 bail.
