WEATHER ALERT - * POOR DRAINAGE/SMALL STREAM FLOODING LIKELY TODAY *
THREAT TIME: THROUGH 12:00 AM TUESDAY
An area of heavy rain and thunderstorms will continue to move slowly through the region into midday. Rainfall rates of over 1.00"/hr+ have been reported to the south and will be possible through 1-2 PM. After that, rain may break up some, but scattered thunderstorms (with more heavy downpours) will re-fire this mid to late afternoon and again be slow moving.
Localized rainfall totals of 2.00 - 4.00" are possible, especially along and east of 95, leading to flooding of poor drainage areas and streets along with some creeks and streams overflowing their banks. Although gusty winds with stronger storms are possible, severe weather potential will be rather minimal. Into tonight, some showers/storms linger, but should begin tapering down towards midnight.
Stay alert and do not drive through flooded roadways.
