Flash Flood Warning
Flash Flood Warning until 12:45 PM. Dangerous flooding is possible. Do not drive through flooded roads.
The National Weather Service in Mount Holly NJ has issued a Flash Flood Warning for Philadelphia County until 12:45 PM.
At 8:40 AM EDT, Doppler radar indicated thunderstorms producing heavy rain across the warned area. Over two inches of rain have already fallen just west of Philadelphia. These thunderstorms will continue to drift northward toward the area that was previously hard hit with heavy rain and flash flooding this past Saturday. Flash flooding is expected to begin shortly in the areas of heaviest rain.
Additional rainfall amounts of 2 to 3 inches are possible in the warned area.

Precautionary / Preparedness Actions:
Turn around - don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood deaths occur in vehicles.
Excessive runoff from heavy rainfall will cause flooding of small creeks and streams, urban areas, highways, streets, and underpasses as well as other drainage areas and low lying spots.
Stay away or be swept away. Riverbanks and culverts can become unstable and unsafe.
