On 8/11/2018 between the hours of 7:30 am and 8:15am Officers responded to the same address in the 2600 block of Bond Pl for two attempted Burglary complaints. Kevin Alt was known to the victim and the neighbors, who live in the area. Alt was identified by the victim and neighbors as the person trying to make entry into the residence. Alt was located by Janesville Police Department Patrol units leaving the area in his truck. Officers initiated a traffic stop on Alt, who then fled. Officers were led by Alt on an approximate one mile vehicle pursuit lasting 2 minutes at speeds reaching fifty miles per hour. The pursuit ended at the corner of Elizabeth St and N Willard Ave when Alt’s truck had a tire blow out sending it sideways coming to a stop in the front yard of a citizens residence. Alt tried to flee on foot, but was apprehended shortly after exiting his vehicle. He was taken into custody without incident. Alt was taken to the Rock County Jail where he was held on charges.
