Felony probationer arrested for no bail warrant and possession of fake methamphetamine for sales & concealed knives

LOCATION: Baseline Rd / Victoria Ave, Highland
SUSPECT: James Tanner, 39-years-old, resident of Highland
SUMMARY:
On Friday, August 10, 2018 at 2:15 a.m., Deputy Ziemer observed a brown 1998 Infiniti sedan without license plates in violation of California Vehicle Code section 5200. He stopped the vehicle and the driver provided a name that couldn’t be found in the DMV data base. A thumb print was taken and the driver was identified as James Tanner. Deputy Ziemer determined Tanner was on felony Post Release Community Supervision (PRCS) and was presently wanted by San Bernardino County Probation. Tanner was arrested without incident.
A search of his vehicle resulted in finding concealed knives under the passenger seat and a large bag of iodized sea salt crystals. With the sea salt, were black plastic bags tied off, similar to the packaging of methamphetamine for street sales. The bags were opened and the sea salt crystals were inside resembling methamphetamine.
Ziemer arrested and transported Tanner to the Central Detention Center where he was booked for the No Bail PRCS warrant, Possession of a concealed weapon and sales/ Transportation of fake drugs.
