On-Going Police Activity in the 700 block of Windsor Way

On Thursday, August 9, 2018 at approximately 2:00 am, Redwood City Police Communications received a 911 call from a female reporting she was the victim of a domestic violence assault that occurred at a residence in the 700 block of Windsor Way. Officers responded to the residence and contacted the victim in front of the residence. The female reported she was assaulted by a male subject who was still inside the residence. The victim was transported to a local hospital where she was treated and released for non-life-threatening injuries.

Officers contacted the suspect by telephone and he refused to exit the residence. Officers established a safety perimeter around the residence and continued to try to negotiate with the suspect to bring about a peaceful resolution throughout the morning but he refused to communicate with officers. This is an on-going police operation and additional resources will be deployed to safely resolve the situation.

Officers have personally contacted the residents who are directly affected by this incident and issued a shelter in place order and recommended a voluntary evacuation order.
