Help BPD Identify Vandals from August 5th Demonstration

On August 5th at 12 pm, a man wearing all black with his face covered vandalized two ATM machines at the Patelco Credit Union (2033 Center Street).  According to witnesses, the suspect repeatedly hit the ATM’s with a large hammer—causing an estimated $10,000 worth of damage.
 
Around the same time, a group of masked persons vandalized twenty-one (21) City of Berkeley vehicles parked in an off-street parking lot on the 2000 block of Berkeley Way (see below link to social media posts).

At 1:45 pm, the windows of the Marine Corps Recruiting Center (64 Shattuck Square) were also vandalized.  From videos seen on social media (see below link), the suspects appeared to have repeatedly hit the windows with a hammer or tire iron—causing an estimated $2000 worth of damage.
