HOT AND HUMID WEATHER CONTINUES THROUGH MID-WEEK. HEAT INDICES EXPECTED TO APPROACH 95 TO 100 DEGREES FOR THE AFTERNOON INTO EARLY EVENING

The hot and humid weather continues through mid week. Heat indices are expected to approach 95 to 100 degrees for the afternoon into early evening of both today and Tuesday, possibly persisting into Wednesday for portions of the area..

Heat Advisory Remains in Effect for the entire Tri-State Area until 8 PM Tuesday.

For Today August 6th:

Max temperatures mainly in the low to mid 90s.

Max heat indices near 95 to 100.

For Tuesday August 7th:

Max temperatures mainly in the low 90s with some mid 90s in parts of Northeast NJ and NYC.

Max heat indices mid and upper 90s.

For Wednesday August 8th:

Max temperatures mainly in the upper 80s to low 90s.

Max heat indices in the mid and upper 90s.
