SUNNYVALE, CA - On 8/4/18 at approximately 10:49 p.m., Sunnyvale Public Safety personnel responded to the report of an auto versus pedestrian collision in the area of South Pastoria and Iowa Avenues.  Emergency personnel arrived on scene to discover a 46-year-old male unconscious and not breathing in the roadway. Life safety measures were performed, but he was declared deceased at the scene. The driver remained at the scene of the collision and is cooperating with the investigation. The identity of the pedestrian is pending with the Medical Examiner. The cause of the collision is under investigation.
