* Until 645 PM EDT
* At 512 PM EDT, Doppler radar indicated a thunderstorm producing heavy rain across the warned area. Up to one inch of rain has already fallen. Flash flooding is expected to begin shortly.
* Some locations that will experience flooding include... High Point, Asheboro, Lexington, Randleman, Thomasville, Archdale, Trinity, Pleasant Garden, Jamestown and Gordontown. Additional rainfall amounts around an inch probable through 615 PM EDT.
* AFFECTED AREAS: DAVIDSON, NC ... RANDOLPH, NC ... GUILFORD, NC
Instructions:
Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood deaths occur in vehicles. Excessive runoff from heavy rainfall will cause flooding of small creeks and streams, urban areas, highways, streets and underpasses as well as other drainage areas and low lying spots.
