* Flood Warning for Small Streams in... Northern Davidson County in central North Carolina...
* Until 345 AM EDT
* At 1225 AM EDT, reporting stream gauges indicate flooding was ongoing along creeks and streams in the northwestern portions of Davidson County. Minor flooding continues along Abbotts Creek which is sitting near 15.51 FT and rising. While heavy rain has come to an end, flooding due to water runoff will likely continue for the next few hours. Take extra precaution, especially if traveling.
* AFFECTED AREAS: DAVIDSON, NC
Instructions:
Be especially cautious at night when it is harder to recognize the dangers of flooding. Do not drive your vehicle into areas where the water covers the roadway. The water depth may be too great to allow your car to cross safely. Move to higher ground. Please report flooding to your local law enforcement agency when you can do so safely.
