At 1216 AM EDT, reporting stream gauges indicate that flooding was still occurring along creeks and streams in the northwestern portions of Davidson County. Minor flooding continues along Abbotts Creek and high water likely continues across portions of Muddy Creek and its tributaries near the border with Forsyth County. While heavy rain has come to an end, flooding due to water runoff will likely continue for the next few hours. Take extra precaution, especially if traveling.

Be especially cautious at night when it is harder to recognize the dangers of flooding. Do not drive your vehicle into areas where the water covers the roadway. The water depth may be too great to allow your car to cross safely. Move to higher ground. Please report flooding to your local law enforcement agency when you can do so safely.
