Employee of the Month
The Jackson Police Department's August Employee of the Month is Lieutenant Shane Beaver. Lieutenant Beaver has been employed with the Jackson Police Department for nineteen years and is the commander of the Special Weapons and Tactics Team.
Lieutenant Beaver has a very persistent, positive "can do" attitude towards his responsibilities. He is dedicated to doing the best job possible while trying to get a positive impact performance to those around him. Lieutenant Beaver is also known to be a great role model to fellow officers around him and is known to lead by example.
Lieutenant Beaver has always been one of the most dedicated instructors within the department. He is passionate about teaching officers life saving firearm skills and tactics that have been proven successful within the Law Enforcement Profession. Lieutenant Beaver has led the SWAT Unit since 2016. Since that time he has incorporated many new processes in training and tactics that make the unit more efficient and better prepared to responding to multiple scenarios.
Lieutenant Beaver is a proud husband and a great role model, fan and coach to his daughter. The apple does not fall far from the tree!!
