* Until 1145 AM EDT
* At 909 AM EDT, Doppler radar indicated slow moving thunderstorms producing flooding across the warned area. Up to two inches of rain has already fallen. Flash flooding is expected to begin shortly. Cecil Rd at Welcome-Arcadia Rd is currently closed due to high water.
* Some locations that will experience flooding include... Greensboro, High Point, Lexington, Thomasville, Archdale, Summerfield, Trinity, Jamestown, Lake Jeanette Marina and Monticello.
* AFFECTED AREAS: DAVIDSON, NC ... RANDOLPH, NC ... GUILFORD, NC
Instructions:
Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood deaths occur in vehicles. Excessive runoff from heavy rainfall will cause flooding of small creeks and streams, urban areas, highways, streets and underpasses as well as other drainage areas and low lying spots.
