Video #LASD Seeking Public's Assistance in ID-ing Armed "Hoodie Bandit" Who Removed Hoodie During Robbery in Compton

On Saturday, July 21, 2018, at approximately 1:20pm, the suspect was involved in an armed robbery of the AM/PM convenience store located at 2820 Alondra Blvd., in the city of Compton. The suspect is described as a black male, approximately 28 years old, 6 feet tall, 140 pounds, with chin beard, black hair and black eyes.

The suspect was armed with a black/gray semi-automatic handgun. The suspect entered the store with customers inside brandished a weapon demanding money from the cash register. The cashiers did not understand what was being said because the suspect’s mouth was covered with his hoodie sweatshirt. The suspect removed the hoodie from his mouth exposing his face and again brandishing the handgun demanded money stating “I’ll put a bullet in your face”.

After obtaining an undisclosed amount of money from the register he fled the location last seen driving southbound on S. Washington Avenue in a silver newer model SUV, possibly an Infiniti or Audi with black rims.

The investigation is ongoing and there is no additional information at this time.  Video link; https://bit.ly/2ACdQEa
