Flash Flood Watch until 06:00PM Thursday

The National Weather Service in Sterling Virginia has issued a

* Flash Flood Watch for portions of Maryland, Virginia, and West Virginia, including the following areas, in Maryland, Central and Eastern Allegany, Extreme Western Allegany, and Washington. In Virginia, Augusta, Clarke, Eastern Highland, Frederick VA, Page, Rockingham, Shenandoah, Warren, and Western Highland. In West Virginia, Berkeley, Eastern Grant, Eastern Mineral, Eastern Pendleton, Hampshire, Hardy, Jefferson, Morgan, Western Grant, Western Mineral, and Western Pendleton.

* From noon EDT today through Thursday afternoon

* Repeated rounds of showers and thunderstorms with heavy rain falling over saturated ground may result in several instances of flash flooding through Thursday.
