Suspect/Arrested: Butler, Daryl Transient 59 years old
Narrative: On Sunday evening at 6:57pm Emeryville Police dispatch received a 911 call from an employee at Lanesplitter Pizza of a man with a knife. The employees were able to disarm the man and get him out of the business. The employees locked the door and the man fled on foot north on San Pablo Ave. Officers located the man a block up the street from the restaurant. A witness positively identified the suspect as the same person who threatened to kill an employee and make stabbing motions towards the victim (employee). The suspect was identified as Daryl Butler. Butler was arrested for assault with a deadly weapon, threats with intent to terrorize, disrupting a business, resisting an officer and a violation of probation. No patrons or restaurant staff were injured. A knife was recovered.
