Jail inmate charged with breaking window in cell 
Detective Paul Alkire of the McDowell County Sheriff’s Office charged Joey Dale Clipse, 39, of Roan Mountain, Tenn., with injury to real property.
Clipse is an inmate in the McDowell County jail, being held on charges out of Mitchell and Avery counties.
On Sunday, June 24, detention officers learned that Clipse had broken the window in his jail cell.
Damage was $282.50.
