The following crimes were reported in Castaic/ Val Verde between July 2, 2018 - July 15, 2018:

7/2/18 
Vehicle Burglary- 32000 block of Castaic Road
The victim reported approx. $3,000 worth of electronic equipment was stolen from his RV. 

Grand Theft Auto- 29000 block of Avenue Sherman
The victim reported a red 1998 Toyota Tacoma truck was stolen from
location. 

7/8/18 
Grand Theft- 29000 block of Avenue Paine
A business reported that a copper backflow valve and miscellaneous metal pipes were cut and removed from their building's water supply system. 

7/14/18 
Grand Theft- 30000 block of Sloan Canyon
The victim reported approximately $4,000 worth of water and power utilities were stolen by a neighbor. The responding deputies were shown several electrical and water lines hidden underground connecting to his utility lines. The crime has been occurring for several months. 

Petty Theft- 29000 block of Quincy Avenue
The victim reported numerous personal items stolen from his unlocked car. Among the stolen items was a large key ring with numerous work-
related keys on it. 

Remember, in any community, the citizens are the first set of eyes and ears for first responders. It is the community who knows what 'does and doesn’t' look right. If you see any suspicious activity, please call the Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff’s Station at (661) 255-1121 or 9-1-1 in an emergency.
