Raymond Eugene Jenkins is arrested for Rape/Incest following an investigation into a 2006 incident

DATE/TIME: July 24, 2018 / 9:00 a.m.

INCIDENT: Rape/Incest Arrest

LOCATION: Apple Valley Station

SUSPECT: Raymond Eugene Jenkins, 57 years old, resident of Apple Valley

VICTIM: Confidential female

SUMMARY:
During the past year, Deputy Clancy of the Apple Valley Station began investigating Raymond Jenkins related to a report of incest and rape. Clancy received information Jenkins had intercourse with a female relative. The incident occurred in 2006 and resulted in the victim becoming pregnant with Jenkin’s child. During the course of the investigation, the victim disclosed to deputies Jenkins was the father and tests were done to confirm paternity.

The results of the paternity test confirmed Jenkins was the father; however, Jenkins was incarcerated for an unrelated PC290 conviction. In July 2018, Jenkins was released from state prison on Post Release Community Supervision (P.R.C.S.) and returned to the Apple Valley area. On July 24, 2018, Jenkins came to the Apple Valley Police Department to complete PC290 registration requirements and Deputy Clancy contacted him reference the rape and incest allegations. Based the physical evidence and other information obtained, Jenkins was arrested for PC 261(A)(2) – Rape of a victim unable to consent and PC 285 - Incest. Jenkins was booked at the High Desert Detention Center in Adelanto. His bail was set at $250,000 and his next court date is July 31, 2018.

Raymond Jenkins has multiple convictions for failure to register as a sex offender. He is known to frequently move around the High Desert, Nevada and other Western States. Deputies are asking for anyone who may have been victim of Jenkins and has not yet reported to law enforcement to contact the Apple Valley Station attention Deputy Clancy.
