One man dead after late night shooting near Moses Lake.

Near MOSES LAKE, Wash. (26JUL2018) – A Moses Lake man has died after a dispute over ownership of a car late Wednesday evening. The incident occurred in the 12000 block of Baseline Road E, near Moses Lake. The victim has been identified as David Moeller, age 26, of Moses Lake.

Deputies were called around 9:40 p.m. for a report of gunshots. When Deputies arrived, they found the victim being assisted by neighbors. He was transported to Samaritan Hospital where he died a short time later.

The man identified as the shooter in this case is cooperating with the investigation. Early indications are that the two were arguing over ownership of a jeep when the victim went to his residence. An argument then escalated to a physical altercation before the victim was shot.

Because no criminal charges have been filed, the name of the other man involved in the case is being withheld.
