SUMMARY:
As previously reported, on July 22, 2018 at approximately 10:28 a.m. deputies from the Apple Valley Station responded to the 19300 block of Chuparosa Road for a reported stabbing. The victim reported he was in the desert area west of Bell Mountain with two acquaintances. The victim only knew the subjects by their monikers. The subjects were later identified as Tyler Yeager and Elihue Lee. While in the desert, Yeager confronted the victim with a large knife. During the confrontation, Yeager cut the victim along the side of his throat. Lee then sprayed the victim’s wound with pepper spray. Yeager and Lee took the victim’s car keys. They stole the victim’s car, leaving him to bleed in the remote desert area. The victim was able to hike out of the desert and to a housing tract. He flagged down a resident who summoned medical aid. The victim was transported to a hospital and stabilized. After several days in the hospital, the victim was able to speak.

On July 24, 2018, detectives and gang deputies from the Apple Valley Station arrested both suspects. Elihue Lee was arrested after leaving a residence on the 16800 block of Tracy Street in Victorville. In addition to being wanted for this attack and carjacking, he had a felony warrant for vandalism. A short time later, Tyler Yeager was found driving the victim’s stolen vehicle in the area of Hesperia Road and Seneca Road. Evidence was recovered linking the two suspects to the crime.

Both subjects were booked at the High Desert Detention Center.

Yeager was booked on PC664/187 – Attempted Murder and PC215 – Carjacking. Bail is set at $1,000,000 and his court date is July 26, 2018.

Lee was booked for PC664/187 – Attempted Murder and PC215 – Carjacking. Bail is set at $1,025,000 and his next court date is July 25, 2018.
