The Denville Police Department, as well as the surrounding areas, has seen a recent increase in motor vehicle burglaries. Many of these burglaries have involved vehicles which were left unlocked. As such, we would like to remind everyone to make sure that your vehicle is locked whenever it is left unattended, even in your driveway. In addition, please make sure to remove any valuables from your vehicle or to keep them hidden out of sight.

As always, the Denville Police Department strongly encourages you to report any suspicious activity you may observe. If you do see something, please call our police dispatcher at 973-627-4900 x 9 or call 9-1-1 if you feel it is an emergency. Provide the dispatcher with the location, a description of what you observed and the physical description of any individuals involved. An officer will be dispatched to the area to ensure everything is alright.
