Vincennes man arrested for Driving While Suspended Prior. 
On July 21, 2018, at 6:36 p.m. Sgt. Bruce Vanoven conducted a traffic stop on a White 1998 Dodge Ram pickup for speeding on US 41 near Steelman Chapel Road. Upon approaching the vehicle Sgt. Vanoven identified the driver as 39 year old Joseph L. Speth of Vincennes. During a roadside investigation Sgt. Vanoven ran Mr. Speth through the Bureau of Motor Vehicles and discovered that Mr. Speth was operating his vehicle on a suspended license. At that point Mr. Speth was taken into custody and transported to the Gibson County Jail where he was charged with Driving While Suspended/ Prior. He remains in custody on a $650 bond.
Assisting Sgt. Vanoven in his investigation was Patoka Town Marshal Darryl Chamberlain.
All Criminal defendants are to be presumed innocent until, and unless proven guilty beyond a reasonable doubt in a court of law.
