Prolonged heat wave is expected in the area starting Sunday. 
The National Weather Service has advised of a prolonged heatwave likely to last from Sunday 7/21 through at least Thursday 7/26. Temps expected in the high 90's to over 100*.
Please make sure your children and pets are protected from the heat. Never leave a child or animal inside a vehicle. Even with the windows partially rolled down, temps can reach fatal levels quick.
Check on elderly neighbors who may need assistance. Especially if they do not have a working air conditioner.
San Marino does not have any cooling centers within the city. The Crowell Public Library is however open on Sunday from 1pm to 5pm and Monday through Saturday from 10am to 5pm. Feel free to go by the library to cool off!
