Murder suspect, Walt Mitchell, has been apprehended; we thank the public for their assistance 
Suspected murderer, Walter Sidney “Walt Mitchell, has been located.
Investigators had been looking for Mitchell since late Friday night, July 20. He was apprehended by McDowell County sheriff’s deputies and N.C. State Bureau of Investigation agents shortly after 7 p.m. on Saturday, July 21 at a residence on Muddy Creek Road in Nebo.
He is charged with murder in the death of his roommate, 36-year-old Matthew Glenn Pressley, of 711 Walnut Grove Road in Nebo.
