Lancaster Station Traffic Investigators are investigating the circumstances of a fatal traffic collision at the intersection of Avenue I at 7^th Street East, in the city of Lancaster, on Thursday July 19, 2018 at approximately 10:30 P.M. 
 
Preliminary information gathered at the scene indicates the driver of a 2007 Nissan Armada was driving westbound on Avenue I. As he approached 7th Street East, a driver of a 2000 Ford Taurus, started a turn eastbound from 7th Street East, directly into the path of the Nissan Armada.  The Nissan Armada collided with the driver’s side of the Ford Taurus.  As a result of the impact, the driver of the Ford Taurus received fatal injuries. His rear passenger, a male adult, received a significant amount of trauma and is in critical condition. The front passenger of the Ford Taurus, a female adult, received moderate injuries and is in stable condition. The driver of the Nissan Armada had a complaint of pain as a result of the collision.  Speed does not appear to be a factor. Impairment for both party’s is yet to be determined.

Sheriff’s Station Traffic Unit.
