Posting Signs on Public Property Is Not Permitted
ESPD reminds everyone that placing or mounting signs on public property is not permitted. “Open House” signs designed to direct people to a specific location are not allowed to be placed on public property (ESMC 15-18-4). Additionally, the placement of “Garage Sale” signs on telephone/light poles are also in violation of the municipal code.
Some signs left on public property may be confiscated and taken to ESPD for safekeeping so the owner can reclaim the items.
