Lor Lee was arrested for an Eagle River assault and kidnapping attempt

At 2:00 PM on July 17, 2018, officers responded to a residence in Eagle River to interview a possible kidnapping victim.  Initial indications are that a 13-year-old male was riding his bike on a trail alongside the Old Glenn Highway.  When he got to the intersection of where the bike trail crosses Fire Lake Drive, he saw a male who was later identified as 19-year-old Lor P. Lee.  Lee was on foot, and told the victim he was looking for a missing child.  The victim stepped off his bicycle and told Lee he hadn’t seen anyone.  Lee offered to give the victim a ride which the victim declined.
Lee then grabbed the victim’s arms and told the victim he needed to come along or would be killed.  Lee then let go of one of the victim’s arms, reached into his pants pocket, and pulled out a knife.  After Lee made more threats, he released the victim and put the knife away.  The victim punched Lee in the face.  Lee attempted to punch the victim back but was only able to graze the side of the victim’s face.  The victim was able to get on his bicycle and ride away.  Lee initially began to chase the victim but then stopped and went over to a nearby vehicle.  The victim was able to get the vehicle’s license plate.
Officers responded to the residence the suspect vehicle was registered to on the 16500-block of the Old Glenn Highway.  Police made contact with several people inside the home to include Lee.  Lee was identified as the suspect; he was transported to the Anchorage Police Department for questioning.
Lee was arrested and remanded at the Anchorage Jail on charges of Kidnapping and Assault III.
