VICTIM: Steven William Perez, 27yr old, Pomona Resident
SUSPECT: Unknown
UNIT: Investigations Division
On 07/16/18 at approximately 7:15PM, Pomona Police Officers responded to the area of 4th St, & Caswell Ave regarding a report of a victim of a shooting. Upon officers arrival they discovered the victim lying on the sidewalk suffering from gunshots wounds to his upper torso. The victim was transported to a local hospital where he later succumbed to his injuries.
It appears the victim was outside on the street when he was confronted by unknown suspects. The suspect(s) fired several rounds striking the victim. The motive for this crime is possibly gang related.

When they arrived they observed a male, Hispanic suffering from gunshot wound(s). The victim was transported to a local hospital where he was pronounced.
