Incidents 367 Reports 42

#005 Auto Burglary
At 6:40 a.m. officers responded to take an auto burglary report that occurred sometime during the night.  An auto burglary occurred overnight at the La Quinta Inn, located in the 46200 block of Landing Parkway.  Entry was via a lock punch.  Loss was all stored tools, valued at approximately $4500. Investigated by CSO Schwartz. 
 
#030 Hit and Run w/ Injuries
A truck driver was unloading vehicles from his rig when he was struck in the arm by a passing vehicle.  The suspect vehicle fled the scene and was described as a black sedan.  The victim was transported to a local hospital with injuries to his arm.  The Traffic Unit responded and took over the investigation. 

IH #3127 Outside Assist
Officers responded to assist a solo CHP unit who was handling a multi-vehicle crash at I680/Mission involving a stolen vehicle.  Additional information was that the driver and passenger of the stolen vehicle had crashed their car and then attempted to carjack a witness who stopped to help.  The solo CHP Officer arrived at the crash as the witness/victim was struggling with the suspect who had entered the witness/victim’s vehicle.  FPD Traffic Units remained on-scene with CHP until the crash site was cleared. 

#032 Warrant Arrest
Employees at a restaurant on Civic Center reported a transient male refusing to leave the business.  The male was also helping himself to the beverage station without paying.  Officers contacted a 43 year old adult male and found he a warrant for petty theft.  The male was arrested for his warrant and transported to Santa Rita Jail.  Case handled by Officer Rose.

#039 Trespassing
Officer Latimer assembled a team of officers including our MET team to issue trespass warning notices to transients who had increasingly been gathering and sleeping at the main library after-hours.  A recent walk through of the area discovered deplorable conditions.  Approximately 10 transients were contacted and issued warning notices.  Enforcement efforts will be on-going.  Case documented by Officer Maniego/FTO Lobue. 

#004 Warrant and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia Arrest
Officers checked a recently vacant address and located a male in the backyard.  He was arrested for an outstanding misdemeanor warrant as well as on view drug and paraphernalia charges.  Investigated by Officer Maniego and FTO LoBue.

#017 Shoplifting
Officers responded to a theft of clothing from Kohl’s in the 43700 block of Christy St.  Four male suspects attempted to steal the clothing, but were chased off by loss prevention.  One suspect, a 23 year old adult male, Oakland resident, was caught and arrested by Officer Han.  The investigation is ongoing to identify the other three suspects.

#19, 24 26, 27 Theft and Warrant Arrests
A victim in the 43900 block of Pacific Commons reported her wallet and car keys were stolen from some recently met acquaintances.  The Victim attempted to recover the property from the suspect’s vehicle, but the suspect fled.  As the suspect fled, the victim attempted to hang on to the vehicle, but is quickly thrown clear of the car.  Officer Forsberg and FTO Hanrahan locate one suspect on Brandin Ct who is found to have a felony warrant.  Two additional persons of interest are located; however the victim was reluctant to cooperate and failed to identify a suspect.  In the end, the three were arrested for warrants and some of the victim’s property was recovered on Brandin Ct.  Case was investigated by Officer Forsberg and FTO Hanrahan.

#021 DUI
Officers respond to a collision in the 3600 block of Darwin.  A solo vehicle collided on a residential street and the reporting party said the driver appeared agitated.  After Officer arrived, the driver a 33 year old adult male, Fremont resident, appeared under the influence of a CNS stimulant was agitated and reluctant to sit down.  As Fremont Fire was checking the male he becomes combative.  Officers restrain the male who is taken to a hospital where he remained combative.  Due to his medical conditions, he was cited at the hospital for DUI.  Case was investigated by Officer Hartman and Officer Francisco.

Warrant Arrest
Officer Gerber responded to the 7-Eleven at Mowry Ave/ Cherry Ave for a reported disturbance. Upon clearing the call he observed a male who had outstanding warrants. Officer Gerber arrested Beza for his warrants and he was booked into the Fremont Jail without incident.

#006, #007 DUI/Brandishing  
A victim calls and reports that her ex-boyfriend caused a disturbance and brandished a firearm at her near Los Dos Amigos Bar.  The suspect fled the scene in his Dodge pickup truck and was stopped shortly after by Officer Gerber.  During the course of the investigation it was determined the male had been holding his cell phone in a threatening manner and no firearm was located. The 31 year old male was ultimately placed under arrest for DUI by Officer Gerber.  Officer Tatola documented the alleged brandishing incident.

#023 Outside Assist – Arson Investigation
At 3:42 a.m., Fremont Fire requested assistance in regard to a structure fire located to the rear of 7- eleven in Niles (Mission/Niles).  Believed the fire was intentionally set, a fire Investigator as well as a CSI are called out to process the scene. Investigation is ongoing.

#017 Vandalism
CSO Romero investigated a report of vandalism at the Family Resource Center (39155 Liberty St). A security guard provided second hand information obtained from two transients that a white male adult, skinny, approximately 5’8”, riding a BMX bike, threw rocks at the window, causing damage.  

#019 Occupied Stolen Vehicle Arrest
Officer San Luis is driving on Washington Blvd when he saw a vehicle which closely resembled a stolen vehicle taken the day prior.  The vehicle is driving the opposite direction and attempts to flee and hide.  Officer San Luis locates the vehicle on Poda Ct just as the suspect is exiting.  Officer San Luis takes the 28 year old adult male Fremont transient into custody when additional units arrive.  A stolen generator is located in the back of the stolen car.  Officer’s Forsberg and FTO Hanrahan arrive and continue their stolen vehicle investigation from the day prior.

Warrant Arrest
Officer Dennis conducted a pedestrian stop on a 35 year old adult male at the Camden Village Apartments. The male had an outstanding felony warrant for a parole violation (robbery). The male was arrested and booked into Santa Rita Jail.

#003 Obstructing/Resisting Arrest
At 12:43 a.m., Officer Stiers attempted to conduct a pedestrian stop on a 33 year old adult male near Fremont Blvd/ Central Ave. The male immediately flees on foot and quickly realizes he made a mistake. Officer Stiers chases the male down with ease and takes him into custody without incident. The male is arrested and booked into the Fremont Jail.
