Newark Public Safety Director Anthony F. Ambrose reports that a warrant has been issued for the arrest of Porsha Fleming, 28, of Newark, on a charge of Aggravated Assault in an incident that occurred on Saturday, July 14, 2018.

At approximately 10:20 p.m. a woman was struck in the face with a handgun following a quarrel with a female suspect on Washington Street near the Newark Library before fleeing in a gray Jeep Cherokee.

Detectives investigating this incident identified Porsha Fleming as a suspect and have secured a warrant for her arrest. She is described as 5’5” tall, 170 lbs. and having a dark brown complexion.
